
1. What is [with]tv?
[with]tv, is a privately held start-up satellite/cable television channel supported by a full multimedia content-rich website, devoted to providing television and internet programming of, by, and for people with disabilities is. We are the first cross-platform, cross-disability media solution to serve the 54 million Americans with disabilities and their family, friends, and supporters in an inclusive environment.
2. How did [with]tv get started?
Howard Renensland, a successful actor/writer/director and the father of a daughter who is a person with a disability founded [with]tv. It was in fighting for her inclusion that Howard realized that people with disabilities have a fundamental right to inclusion and should have control of their image in the media.
3. What is the meaning behind the [with]tv logo?
The [with]tv logo began with the concept of the letter “i” representing the human form. The letterform is curvilinear and contrasts with the rest of the logo’s letters in both color and shape. The “i” is different from the other letters; it brings something extra to the group.
The brackets represent the concept of inclusion. The unique “i” is being included in the group and the brackets are holding the letters together to help them form a team. The brackets are also used as a graphic element in layouts and stationary as a way to demonstrate elements being connected.
4.How can I get [with]tv?
Upon funding, [with]tv be available through our website and as downloads for handheld media viewing devices and cell phones. As we grow and as technology allows, you will be able to find us on many cable systems.
5. What kinds of programs can I expect to see on [with]tv?
[with]tv will feature everything from the news, sporting events, concerts, variety, reality shows, and original comedic and dramatic productions to archival re-runs of popular dramas, sit-coms, and Hollywood movies focusing on disability-related issues and featuring characters with disabilities. Our offerings will be among the most diverse and inclusive that you can find on TV and will feature characters and themes surrounding all types of disabilities and socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds. Some programs will not have disability themes, but they will have characters with disabilities in roles not specifically calling for disabilities.
6. I have limited vision and/or hearing. Will [with]tv be accessible for me?
Yes! Captioning and narration for the hearing and vision impaired will support all of our programs and the commercials that accompany them. In addition, our website will be 100% accessible to visitors who use screen readers and/or have limited vision.
7. Is [with]tv only for people with disabilities?
NO! [with]tv is for anyone who enjoys high quality entertainment with a unique look and feel. All of our original programs will feature people with disabilities alongside people who don’t have disabilities in situations that we all can relate to.

9. I’m an actor/writer/director/etc. How can I find out about casting calls and employment opportunities?
You can submit your headshots, resumes, and sample reels by visiting our Employment page. We are currently not accepting any submissions of scripts, treatments, story ideas, or other unproduced content. Once we’re up and running we’ll be visiting major cities across the country on our talent search. We’ll post the dates on our homepage so keep an eye out!
