Through our foundation we will offer weekly summer institutes, WITH-TV Summer Institute for Training in Film & Television. Beginning on a college campus we will bring together students with disabilities who are interested in being employed in the industry. They will live on campus with appropriate support personnel. They will take a number of one week courses designed to develop their interests and educate them in to how television and film happens. A core curriculum will be established and taught by a team of professionals employed in the industry and post secondary educators. In addition they will enjoy guest speakers in the industry, have a variety of recreation opportunities, and room and board for one week. The Institute will end with an Open House where area media employers, family and friends, and general public can witness the work that has gone on. This one week program will begin on one college campus and will expand to many. It is our hope that through our efforts and by partnering with all of the unions and guilds that support the working men and women of the industry we will be able to begin to see hired a steadily increasing number of people with a variety of disabilities in our industry. We will work to make this happen.
